- James Patrick Einhaus was born September 14, 1958 in Ottawa, Il, the son of James B. and Rogene (Smith) Einhaus.
He graduated from Earlville High School in the class of 1977. He then attended I.V.C.C. for two years where he pursued his career in criminal justice and played on the basketball team. Jim served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was a sergeant at Sheridan Correctional Center until its closing then he transferred to Dixon Correctional Center where he was currently employed. He enjoyed fishing, camping, softball and his children. Jim was an avid NASCAR fan.

He was born September 14, 1958 in Ottawa, IL the son of James B. and Rogene (Smith) Einhaus. He graduated from Earlville High School in the class of 1977. He is survived by his mother, Rogene of Earlville, his children; Jimmy, Megan and Patrick, one sister; RoseEllen Schultz of Shabbona, IL, two brothers; Paul Einhaus and John Einhaus both of Plano, IL, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; James B. Einhaus in November 24, 2000.
Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, March 6, 2006 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Earlville, IL with the Father James Kruse officiating. Burial will follow in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the Hanley-Turner Funeral Home in Earlville, IL, with a Liturgical Wake service being recited at 5:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to a trust fund being established for his children.
